The report summarised the Mineral Safeguarding Topic Paper prepared by Kent County Council to inform the production of the new Kent Minerals and Waste Local Plan. It outlined the purpose of the paper, its relationship with the Plan and the implications for the Borough. Members were invited to endorse the officer level comments submitted by the deadline of 4 March 2013.
Following consideration by the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Planning and Transportation resolved that:
The contents of the report, including the officer level comments summarised in paragraphs 1.6.8 to 1.6.11 thereof and submitted by 4 March 2013, be noted and endorsed.
Reasons: As set out in the report submitted to the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board of 3 April 2013.
